I'm impressed!!! You trendsetter.....After I played your video Youtube gave me a selection of other people sabering champagne too. It looks fun....giving us ideas for New Year's Eve!
This is how my children force me out of my comfort zone! My older son now wears a sabre to parties and brings champagne with him. However, since he came unprepared to our house (knowing we'd have our own champagne on hand) he rummaged through my husband's workshop for that machete!
While I can see the potential for some serious craziness with this idea, especially if folks have already been imbibing, our family is quite tame, and luckily no one wants to 'off' anyone else!

OK, so who in the family keeps a machete handy?? And is this a good idea at Christmas - suppose cousin Joe doesn't like the socks from Auntie Rita?

Love it! Your laugh is infectious.
Wow! Stay away from you with the champagne bottles!
Looks like you were having lots of fun, though! I loved the "Stop the camera" comment at the end.
I'm Cuban-American and machetes are standard garden equipment, *cough* That was really great I might just try it, instead of sabering coconuts. LOL..
